How to answer Describe Image in PTE?
You can create a ready-made template to use while giving answers in the PTE Speaking test. If you incorporate elements from the image into the template, it would be an easy and reliable way to score high.
In the Describe Image format above, the parts such as [word1] and [word2] have to be replaced with words or numbers written on the image.
Memorize this script and say it as it is in the exam. Practice saying this within the 40 seconds time limit.

How is PTE Describe Image marked?
Pearson’s Ordinate technology is at play in scoring the speaking portion of the PTE test. Factors such as speed and rhythm of speech, alongside voice quality, intonation, word choice, and pronunciation are taken into account by the computer.
Basically, there are three major criteria of judgement in Describe Image questions. They are Content, Pronunciation, and Oral Fluency.
Content is scored on a scale of 0 to 5. An answer which covers all the relevant parts of the image and their relationships and implications gets 5. The more elements from the image you fail to describe, the lower your score will be. Incorporating 12 items from the image into the template provided here would be sufficient to get the full score in the category of Content.
Pronunciation and Oral Fluency each are assigned a score from 0 to 5, with 5 being native-like use of the language and 0 being unrecognizable or inarticulate English. Practice saying the above format in a loud and clear manner without pauses or hesitations.
You can repeat the same Describe Image format for all the questions you get in the test.
